bargain shopping

I love this simple mug and plate that I snatched at TJ Maxx. Very a la Leif’s Dipped Spice Set, but for a much happier price ($3)!
Makes me want to pour some tea and sit outside in the breeze for a while.
love + laughter
I have had so much fun with my family this weekend. I hope your weekends were as rewarding as mine. There is nothing more soul-charging and rejuvenating that loving and laughing with others.
Last Friday, we had tickets to see the NYC Ballet when they performed at the Kennedy Center. The program included Who Cares?, Fearful Symmetries, and West Side Story Suite. Of course, they were all great, but I loved Fearful Symmetries because of the warm red pallete for the costumes and the more modern approach.

My sister, a dancer, loved the whole thing. Here we are - for once I’m taller! (Thank you heels!)

On Saturday, we headed out to Mount Vernon, which was absolutely gorgeous. The skies were as blue as ever. The whole estate was amazing - we walked around for hours! It’s so nice just to escape the “city” sometimes.
My personal favorite part of the day were the adorable animals. My sister and I couldn’t get enough of the lambs!

How cute is that?! Anyway, if your weekend didn’t do it, I hope this week is filled with love, laughter, and those that mean the most to you. There really is nothing better.
Kinda cheesy, but I love the concept. I want one!

T-Rex Trying is series by Hugh Murphy that’s sure to give you a few giggles. “T-Rex Trying To Do a Cartwheel” is by far my favorite though. You can even get this cute guy on a t-shirt!
